Need a breath of fresh air or a change of scenery?
Anxieties and problems can sometimes weigh very heavy and it can be easy for things from the past or present to feel like they are getting on top of us. Or maybe you've been meaning to get some support for a while and you feel now is the time to move forward and feel better.
I’m Sarah, and I’ve been a therapist since 2003. Since then I have supported all kinds of people with a wide variety of things they have found difficult.
I offer a flexible approach to counselling and counselling supervision – working outdoors, walking, sitting, with my dog or yours, and also online. We can decide together if I am the right person and if this is the right thing for you.
I work with adults and adolescents aged 11+
There are proven mental and physical benefits to being in nature, walking if you can, and being with companion animals and my Wild Therapy training harnesses all of these to support you.
The confidentiality and range of difficulties we can address are just the same. No one will know it's counselling unless you tell them – people will just see us out for a walk and a chat.
My dogs Stanley and Peggy and I have also trained in Animal Assisted Therapy and have worked together since 2015.
Why not combine your dog walk with your counselling session? Join me and peggy or Stanley on our walk, or bring a flask and we can sit on a park bench in the sunshine or, if you prefer, meet in a cafe. And if the weather doesn't suit you on the day we can always switch from a walk to a Zoom.
I also love teaching and have taught counselling and therapy-related subjects since 2007 in various settings. I enjoy the challenge of putting together bespoke talks and workshops.
